“Having spent 20 years working in and running businesses across the creative, digital, and service sectors, my transition into property maintenance and environmental consulting was driven by a clear vision: to build a company centred entirely on accountability, high standards, and genuine trust.
At The Payton Group, we support private landlords and homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients with structured property care, but our focus goes far beyond standard upkeep. Having personally dealt with property moisture and mould issues in the past, and having seen the impact that damp and mould can have on people and properties alike, I decided to take action by qualifying as an Advanced Mould Remediation Technician.
During my studies, I was shocked to further discover the true scale of the disastrous consequences mould can cause, alongside a widespread lack of industry protocols designed to prevent mould issues from occurring in the first place. Mould is a significant hazard, not merely a cosmetic defect!
That is why we established EradiSpore DAMR (a registered trademark of The Payton Group Ltd). Operating side by side with our established Maintenance Division as an equal pillar of the company, EradiSpore was created to focus intensely on specialist environmental services. This dual-division structure allows us to lead the charge in advanced mould remediation and prevention without ever compromising the high standards of our everyday property maintenance services. The processes we use today are far safer than traditional methods, and we believe in doing things right: we do not just paint over a problem, but do everything we can to find and fix the underlying root causes.
As part of our mission, I introduced our Mould Prevention Initiative to encourage property owners and landlords to incorporate regular specialist environmental checks to get ahead of moisture problems, saving significant time, stress, and expense in the long run. We also strongly advocate this proactive approach for prospective homebuyers—recommending a dedicated Mould Prevention Survey alongside standard property surveys. This gives buyers a much deeper understanding of the property’s true environmental state and helps mitigate unexpected, costly issues down the line.
